ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 16-3 LINCOLN'S BIRTHDAY
The People of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly having declared that the 1ih Day of February shall be a legal holiday, to be known as Lincoln's birthday, which shall be observed as a day on which to hold appropriate exercises in commemoration of our illustrious President, and the Court observes that Abraham Lincoln was a great defender of the law, and exhorts all citizens to pledge their obedience to the law in the spirit of Lincoln:
THEREFORE, in observance of Lincoln's birthday, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Circuit Court of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit in Will County, and all divisions thereof, shall stand adjourned all of Friday, February 12, 2016.
2. The Office of the Circuit Clerk shall be closed Friday, February 12, 2016, and the time for filing motions, pleas, answers, or any other pleadings, process or papers which would otherwise expire on Friday, February 12, 2016 is hereby extended to Tuesday, February 16, 2015.
3. The Clerk is directed to transmit copies of this Order to the Sheriff, State's Attorney, all Judges, the County Executive, the Law Library, all Clerk's Offices, the Building Engineers, the President of the Will County Bar Association, the President of the Women's Bar Association, the President of the Black Bar Association, the President of the Latino Bar Association, the Probation Department, the Juvenile Detention Facility and the Warden of the Will County Adult Detention Facility as well as posting copies on all Courthouse bulletin boards and all public entrances and exits of the courthouse.
